The Surrey-based law firm have extended their involvement with the event from previous years to become title sponsor of the Corporate Challenge for 2018. The Morrisons Solicitors Corporate Challenge gives runners the opportunity to represent their business, branch or department whilst taking part in the award-winning Mercer Surrey Half Marathon. The race – which was voted by runners as “The UK’s Best Road Run” in 2017 – takes place for the fifth year on 11th March 2018.

Morrisons Solicitors have a team of 10 runners taking part to represent the firm, and are amongst the many teams who hope to earn both the trophy and the accolade of “The Fastest Business in Surrey”. The firm also have a volunteer team based out at Mayford Arms water station who will be helping to keep all runners hydrated for the final mile.

A minimum of three runners are required to form a Morrisons Solicitors Corporate Challenge team. Morrisons Solicitors have entered one team to represent their firm, but some businesses choose to enter multiple teams – representing each of their branches or departments – to add an element of “healthy competition” within the workplace.

Morrisons Solicitors and the Mercer Surrey Half Marathon invite all businesses to motivate and encourage their workforce to lead healthier lifestyles. The challenge has proven to work as a long-term relationship and team-building exercise for employees – as they work to motivate each other through training as well as the race.
